The Timbers of Shorewood has been recognized with the “Best Independent Living Award” in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Senior Living ratings. In addition to the Best Senior Independent Living award, The Timbers has received high performing emblem awards in Management & Staff, Activities & Enrichment, and Feels Like Home.
Shorewood Seniors Get Smart – Timbers Academy for Seniors Graduates Challenge Health Misinformation
Twenty two seniors completed the Timbers of Shorewood’s Academy for Seniors 24-week course – “Medical Myths, Lies, and Half Truths” in May of 2025. Launched in 2018, the Timbers’ Academy for Seniors features continuing education courses on a wide range of topics.
