Musician Greg Woods will perform at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. This is a free event and is open to the public.
Woods has been playing music ever since starting piano lessons at the age of four. He sings and has learned guitar, bass, drums, banjo, mandolin, banjolin and harmonica. While he considers himself a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer, his passion lies in songwriting and composing.
“From my own original tunes to choral works and vocal jazz, I work very hard to keep a wide and diverse palette of works,” Woods said.
In 2012 he started Lucky Entertainment, a company which allows him to travel around the Chicagoland area performing with multiple instruments and a varied repertoire.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
