Pat Cipriani, a resident of the Timbers of Shorewood, was a nurse for 60 years, and she says she never, ever tired of it. In her 30s she started volunteering, and it became a passion. Once she retired, she continued her volunteerism.

When Betty Wirth, a resident of The Timbers of Shorewood, first saw a notice last year that the Timbers was starting a newspaper written by residents, she thought how much fun that would be. She volunteered!
