Doug Dvorak will present a travel program called “Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast” at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood. The public is warmly welcome.
The Dalmatian Coast is in the southernmost region of Croatia’s 3,600 miles of coastline. Dubbed the most stunning coastline in Europe, the Dalmatian Coast features dramatic limestone cliffs, hidden coves and beaches, vineyards and olive groves and scattered offshore islands.
In addition to breathtaking views, ancient towns with Greek, Roman, Venetian and Slavic architecture are remarkably well preserved. Dalmatian cuisine includes fish, shrimp, octopus and oysters, and there is vibrant nightlife on the larger islands of Hvar and Brac.
Dvorak spends several months of the year exploring the world, photographing, documenting and compiling his travels into customized travel programs for presentations and workshops.
