The Timbers of Shorewood continues its concert series titled, “Music and Memories.” J.D. Elvis is featured at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd. All concerts are free and open to the public.
Fans say that each time J.D. performs, they go back in time with Elvis himself. His performance life is an act of gratitude to an artist who has influenced J.D. his entire life.
Born and raised Jerry Dzwonkiewicz on Chicago’s south side, J.D. grew up hearing country music and gospel. Then J.D.’s father played a track of “The King, Elvis Presley,” and the life-long connection was made.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer. Residents, whose needs may change, are able to stay in the same place and receive appropriate care.
