Ron and Sandie

Ron and Sandie perform at the Timbers of ShorewoodVocalist duo Ron and Sandie will perform “Sing and Swing,” a show for residents and the public at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the ballroom at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.

Although Ron Camron and Sandie Triplett have only been performing together for a little over two years, they have become a new entertainment favorite among seniors and on the local entertainment circuit.

Their goal is to entertain with the best of song from swing, pop, Big Band and country music, as well as music of the 1950s and 1960’s rock’n’roll.

Camron, born and raised in Australia, began his musical career in 1959 as a member of a rock’n’roll band. After winning a trip around the world in a national singing contest in 1965, he began performing in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Chicago.

A Chicago native, Triplett met Camron through a mutual friend in 2010. She was impressed with Camron’s stage prescence. In turn, Camron felt Triplett was a force to be reckoned with, and the two decided to perform together exclusively. They have been gaining popularity ever since, and they currently perform over 200 shows a year.
