Senior Services of Will County will host a special educational presentation titled “Senior Scams and Identity Theft” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29 at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood.
Guest presenter, Lynn Lionhood of Legal Shield will discuss how to identify current scams targeted at seniors. Topics will include mail solicitation, phone solicitation, internet and email safety, Medicare scams, and ID theft.
Senior Services of Will County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been providing assistance to those over age 60 and disabled adults for more than fifty years. Located in Joliet, senior services maintains a myriad of programs, activities and case management services through its five satellite offices throughout Will County. Senior Services provides seniors with access to resources, information, services and programs to assist them to live safe, healthy and independent lives.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community that provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services.
