Lindsey Driscoll, a Financial Adviser with Waddell & Reed, Inc., will present a workshop titled, “Filing for Social Security: Flexibility and Choices for Your Retirement Income” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road. This is a free event and is open to the public
“Many people nearing retirement are confused about how social security works. You have more filing options than you may think,” Driscoll said. “I will answer any and all questions such as: Should I delay my benefits? Should I file and suspend? Should I file restricted? How do benefits work if I am divorced? Will Social Security be enough to live off of in retirement? and many more.
Lindsey graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Business-Finance degree. She holds Series 7 & 66 securities licenses, as well as her life and health insurance licenses.
