The performing duo known as Steve and Trisha will present “Memories in Song,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Road.
Steve and Trisha are professional entertainers who enjoy bringing back musical memories for older adults. Steve plays the guitar, banjo and keyboard, and Trisha dances with audience members and passes out maracas and tambourines.
Requests are never a problem because Steve has committed to memory more than 5,000 songs. In fact, he can perform a song from every year since 1912. Steve met Trisha in 2007 when they formed a professional partnership.
“Life is better when you are happy,” said Steve, “but life is best when other people are happy because of you.”
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
