“The 45’s Good ole Jukebox Music!” will entertain residents and the public in the ballroom at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Rd.
The 45’s were formed in 2004 by two friendly guys—Mel and Gary– who love the good old days of the juke-box. They perform with crazy costumes and props, bringing back memories from Elvis to show tunes, country to Rat Pack. Their high energy and humorous interaction both with each other and the audience makes them an instant favorite wherever they go. Their audiences would add, however, that great voices sure help.
While the duo still performs together regularly, Mel and Gary have started performing individually as “Mel-Oldies Unchained” and “Gary of the 45’s,” respectively. The two have also taken their show on the road, now performing in parts of Florida.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
The event is open to the public and admission is free. For more information, call 815-609-0669.
