The Timbers of Shorewood is celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year by honoring staff members who have shown dedication through years of service. Twenty-two staff members have been employed at the Timbers for seven years or more.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median number of years that wage and salary workers had been with their current employer was 3.9 years.

Over time, this can lead to burnout, compromised performance, and possibly missing important changes in resident acuity levels. Turnover also impacts continuity of care as new caregivers must get acquainted with the needs of each resident.”
