Playing the trumpet, flugelhorn, drums and guitar, Voytek Falendysz will grace the stage at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at The Timbers of Shorewood, 1100 N. River Road, Shorewood.
“Voytek,” which is his stage name, has an exciting and influential vocal style that complements his instrumental abilities. Graduated from Millikin University in Decatur with a degree in commercial music, he played in the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band while at college.
Voytek has played all over the world including Germany, New York, Switzerland, Washington DC, and the Dominican Republic. He is a member of Upscale, a jazz combo, for which he plays drums.
The Timbers of Shorewood is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments as well as a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
